Evansville, Indiana is our first destination. We live in this area, so it seemed like a good place to start, though the tourism is limited. The tourist presence is estimated at around 40,000 hotel nights. If we assume double occupancy, that is 80,000 visitors.
Information from July 2024

General review of Evansville:
Evansville is your average small city. There are a hundred more just like it as far as you, the traveler, are concerned. It is worth visiting if you are close by, but it would be silly to travel more than 2 or 3 hours to get there. The variety of entertainment options is good, but the quality is average. The tourism industry is not designed to accept large numbers of tourists, and the clientele is primarily the locals. Still, it is a nice enough place at a reasonable price, if you are close by.
